Charlize Angel-Lords has been a professional drag entertainer since 2007. Hailing originally from New York City, she graduated with a B.Sc. from NYU and minored in educational theatre. She made the move to sunny Florida in 2006 where she got her first professional drag gig at Rosie’s Bar & Grill in Wilton Manors. She continued to do various guest appearances at multiple venues throughout Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties.

Less than two years later, she was hired as one of the original cast members of Lips Restaurant & Cabaret in Fort Lauderdale. During this time she also competed in the prestigious Miss Florida Gay America pageant, an official prelim to Miss Gay America, several times – having placed 2ndalternate on her first try. She enjoyed a four-year run at Lips before making the move to Key West in 2014 where she was instantly recruited as one of the newest “801 Girls” working at the renowned 801 Cabaret where she performed for seven fulfilling years until she retired from regular nighttime performances in 2020. Charlize also competed & proudly won the local title of Miss Key West Pride in the summer of 2014. She then went on to win the coveted title of Queen Mother in 2016 – one of Key West’s most prestigious titles as an ambassador to the community.Charlize began working at Aqua in 2017 as the head show DJ. After Mike & Jon Barrett took over the Aquaplex in 2023 and opened the Birdcage Cabaret in March 2024, Charlize was honored to have been asked to join the cast & resumed regular nighttime performances. While in Key West, Charlize also managed to go back to her thespian roots by appearing in several productions at the Waterfront Playhouse including Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Matilda the Musical and most recently a starring role in Kinky Boots. In August 2019, Charlize was approached by the management of Mangoes restaurant to start a fabulous new drag brunch. Drunken Drag Brunch at Mangoes now continues to be the longest running & most successful drag brunch in Key West for the past five years and has also been nationally recognized as one of the top 10 best drag brunches in the country!
